True, 1000 miles isn't shit. I was just saying the shaft play is typical of a non ball bearing turbo. Any stock or rebuilt turbo is eventually going to fail. I don't expect to get more than 3 or 4 years out of a rebuilt turbo anyway. Stock turbos running 7 psi can last 20 years, but you bump that up to 10 - 15 psi most z owners run and they just won't hold up. But I digress.. back to his question. Although it is tough to tell from the video how much play there actually is. There must be some shaft play side to side to allow for oil to separate the turbine shaft from the bearing. Unless the turbo is full of oil there will be shaft play in a thrust bearing turbo. For $70 throw it in and run it for a while until you have money for something better. just my 2 cents.
